Germany
Even if Germany topped as the least funny nation on the planet, there are still many reasons to travel there. Obviously you may identify Germany with beer, a national tradition that any German would tell you the history of the purity of beer dating from sometimes in the 17th century. They are so obsessed with it that they are stunned to find out that it may exist good beer outside Germany, and for some, just outside Bavaria. Octoberfest is a tradition known all over the world. And exported successfully in other places also. Beer comes also with the traditional German food, hearty and tasty and surprisingly inexpensive in a Europe where prices soared.
But beside food Germany is so diverse that can keep you quite busy and enchanted for weeks in a row. If you prefer to visit castles or go to sky or hike in the mountains or stroll the cities, Germany offers it all. We traveled in Germany many times, from the vibrant Berlin to the quietude of Rugen, to Leipzig, Dresden and Thuringen, to Dusseldorf, Cologne and Rhine Valley ending in Munich and around where the Bavarian castles and small towns on the Romantische Strasse are a highlight of any trip.
