The richness of archeological sites made Mexico to be known as "The Egypt of the Americas". But maybe any sort of comparison would not do justice to this fascinating country that had so many civilizations, from the Olmecs, to Toltecs, to the civilizations of the Gulf going all the way to Zapotecs, Mixtecs, Aztecs and the Maya Empire who stretched south to Guatemala, Honduras and Panama. Beside this long history of peoples who lived and created here, a new direction was brought in the 16th century by the European influence through the Spanish "Conquista". But even without the ruins by this continuos stream of civilizations, Mexico would be a charming and bon vivant place, an extremely attractive destination where the indigenous villages are mixed harmoniously with Spanish pueblos and cities, with relaxing beaches and splashing waterfalls, with jungle and dessert, where the fiesta never ends..

Mexico is a very large and dense country. To visit the country you may need at least 4-5 weeks and this meaning a very intense pace of visitation. We visited Mexico 3 times and we concentrated the first time on Yucatan part of the Maya kingdom and civilization, Chichen Itza, Uxmal and The Puuc Route being the main attractions. From there we visited Campeche, Villahermosa and Palenque reaching the fantastic city of San Cristobal de las Casas, returning from there to Tulum and Coba. The second time we visited Mexico City with the absolute remarkable ruins of Teotihuacan, the picturesque and artistic city of Oaxaca and the surrounding ruins of Mitla and Monte Alban, Porto Angelito, a charming fishing village on the Pacific Coast, Acapulco and returning through the silvermone town of Taxco to Mexico City. Unfortunately we took only pictures in these two trips but in the last one we shot an interesting film.

Come and travel with us, watching our travel video, at the ruins of El Tajin, the largest archeological ruin of the civilization of the Gulf, near the city of Papantla, famous for the vanilla trees, to the never sleeping city of Veracruz, to Xalapa that hosts one of the best archeological museums from the entire country, to the colonial city of Puebla that has several of the most interesting Spanish churches in the country and its neighbor town of Cholula, where you can see the biggest pyramid in Mexico. Futher we explored the ruins of Xochicalco, the indigen village of Patzcuaro, the silver mining charming city of Guanajato and San Miguel de Allende where is the largest American colony in Mexico, returning through Tula to Mexico City.
