rajasthan travel video
This travel video is a 3 hour presentation of the culture and traditions of Rajasthan, India. Our intention was to show an interesting and pretty intense itinerary, which we were able to cover in about 2 weeks. We wanted to shoot a travelog, a long form documentary about this particular trip making it different from the regular documentaries you may see on TV . We covered a lot of ground in the narration associated with the video: from history to legends, architecture and traditions, customs and religions we tried as much as possible to approach most of the issues you encounter in such a trip.
The travel video is the result of a lot of research and documentation we did before we left there, but also of a lot of information we got on site, talking to people or listening to the stories coming from the guides. We shot a lot of footage and we ended up editing it to make a very pleasant and attractive presentation. I think we did a great job because a lot of people who saw it, some of them never intending to visit India but some being people we met there, in Rajasthan, enjoyed the video a lot.
If you have any intention to visit this area or other part of India, or if you know for sure that you will never get there, watching this film will bring you the experience of being half there. To do the trip we rented a car with driver (which is less expensive than a car without a driver...) and we drove by day only, driving by nights on Indian lorry-infested roads being a harrowing experience, we stayed in hotels recommended by the driver, most of them middle range listed in Lonely Planet, we ate in vegetarian restaurants, which is a minimum advice if you travel anywhere in India. You can do almost the same tour by train but there are some areas, like Shekhawati and Bikaner, where the train does not reach and this motivated us to take a car.
If you are interested to find specifics about the trip or about the video please contact us. We will be more than happy to share with you our experience.
